MEDICAL RULES AND PROCEDURES

We have an infirmary in the school where the nursing staff is present all the time. The school nursing stall is called upon in case of any injury or accident occurs on school premise. If the school staff feels that a student requires further medical care, the student’s parents or legal guardians are notified. In extreme emergencies, students are rushed to nearby medical centre and parents are contacted as soon as possible.

A student who is feeling ill should visit the school infirmary. They will examine the student and will notify the principal in case the student needs to go home. Parents are requested to collect a gate pass and pick up their child from the principal’s office.

Students should visit the school clinic only incase of an injury or illness. The use of the school clinic as an excuse to leave class or school is prohibited. Frequent visits to the school clinic that are deemed unjustifiable by the school may result in a disciplinary action.

Upon registration at the beginning of the school year, the school should be informed of students with chronic illnesses, such as asthma, epilepsy, and migraine. In the case in which a student has to take doses of medication during school hours, the parents must provide the school infirmary with a doctor’s prescription describing the dosage of those medications. Medications should not be kept in classrooms or offices, only in the infirmary.

SCHOOL RULES

School rules are designed to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment. School rules apply on campus, transport, co-curricular activities, field trips, student support sessions, and school-sponsored events.

Tardiness

Students must enter the school not before 20 minutes, of the alloted time. For example, if the school begins at 8 am, the child should enter the school between 7:35 am. To 7:55 am. A student who is late more than 3 consecutive times can be asked to go back home.
Students must be on time for all classes. A student who is late to class more than 3 consecutive times will not be admitted without meeting the principal.

End-of-Day Dismissal

Students must be collected promptly and they are not permitted to stay on school premises during after-school hours.
If parents/guardians of students cannot pick up their children from school, then they should send a letter informing the school of the identity of the person collecting the child. Otherwise, the teacher will not allow the student to leave the school with that person.

Absenteeism

An absence of two consecutive days or more must be justified with a certified medical doctor’s report. Failure to bring this documentation may result in an unexcused absence. The credibility of the report is left to the principal’s discretion.
A student returning to school after a one-day absence must present a written note signed by a parent giving the dates and reason for the absence. Failure to bring a note will result in an unexcused absence.
If the absence is due to an illness or other unforeseen reason, missed work must be made up as soon possible.
Absence for 2 consecutive months will be considered as left school. Re-joining will be considered as re-admission

Leaving Class or school

Students are not allowed to leave the school premises during the school day. If a student has to leave school:
The parent/guardian must request permission from the office.
The parent/guardian must collect the student personally from the office. If the parent/guardian cannot pick up their child, they should send with the person picking up their child an official letter signed by them authorizing the person to do so.
Absence for 2 consecutive months will be considered as left school. Re-joining will be considered as re-admission

Class Preparation

Students should come to class with all homework completed and with the required books and learning materials.

Classroom Conduct

Students should not disobey the teacher or disrupt normal class activity.
Students are not allowed to throw objects (e.g., pencils, books) in class.
Students should remain in their assigned seats unless permitted or until the teacher dismisses the class.

Food and Beverages

Students cannot chew gum on school campus or in school-sponsored events.
Junk food (i.e., chips, candies, lollipops, and soft drinks) is strictly prohibited in school.
Parents are encouraged to send with their children a healthy homemade snack that.
consists of fruit or vegetables.

Cleanliness/Tidiness

Student should dispose their trash in the recycling waste bins and not on the floor, school grounds, and playgrounds.
Students should keep the areas around them clean and tidy. Lunch bags should be placed on the assigned hooks.
Students should not write on or scratch their desks or chairs. This act is considered vandalism.

Playground

Students should not dispose their litter on the ground.
Students should remain on be the playground where they can remain under supervision. Leaving the playground to other undesignated areas is not permitted.
Students should follow the safety rules and procedures when using play units.

Hallways & Stairways

Students should move to and from classes in an orderly and quiet manner. No running, pushing, or shouting is accepted.
Students should walk up any stairway on the right and walk down any stairway on the right to ensure the safe movement of all students and staff.

TRANSPORTATION RULES

(For students from Pre-Nur. to Class I only)

Parents Please Note – (Those taking the facility)

The child should be ready on time. The rickshaw puller will not wait as he will not be in a position to reach the school on time.
If you are staying one the first/second floor of any building, we would request you to bring your child down to your rickshaw so that he/she is not late for school.
If you are living in a street where the rickshaw cannot reach, we would request you to bring your child and also to pick him up from the place where the rickshaw comes.
Do not put your child on any other rickshaw, other than one coming from the school.
At times the rickshaw puller gets changed and might get late. Please bear with us at that time. You can call and confirm from the office in charge.
Once rickshaw no. is allotted do not change yourself. The officer incharge should be informed if required.
In case of change of address, please inform the rickshaw incharge in advance. P.S  If you child has taken admission in April and you wish to take the rickshaw facility please do so in April itself. The school will not allow the facility from July. NOTE: Do not handover any money to the school rickshaw puller. The school never asks to do so.

Parents not taking the conveyance facility

The name of the person who will drop and pick up the child should be notified to the teacher incharge.
A pass will be issued which you have to show on picking up your child.
If you are not able to come to your school then the pass should be given to the person picking up that day.

For School Van

The above rules applied.
12 months fee will be charged from those availing the rickshaw or van facility from April.

FOR SCHOOL BUS ( BISALPUR STUDENT )

If the parents/guardians choose to have their children commute between the home and school by bus, then the parents and the students are kindly requested to understand and comply by the following rules:

All students at all times must sit in their assigned seat.
Students must wait at the bus stop 5 minutes before the scheduled time to pick-up. If the bus arrives at the stop at the scheduled time and the student is not there, the bus will not wait and will continue its trip..
Board and depart the bus properly.
Remain seated at all times until dismissed.
Obey the orders of the bus driver and the bus assistant.
Sit quietly in the assigned seat and avoid moving about the bus disturbing others.
Refrain from fighting and pushing.
Refrain from littering and throwing objects in and out of the bus.
Refrain from eating and drinking in the bus.

Any student who breaks the school bus rules or behaves in a manner that threatens the safety of others on the bus will be reported to the administration and will receive disciplinary warning. After this warning, if the student commits three offenses, the student will be denied the privilege to use the school bus service.

General Behavior

Students are required to behave politely at all times and should not use indecent language or, indulge in fights and quarrels with others in the school. Any behavior likely to hurt others in the matters of language, religion, caste or community, is strictly prohibited. The following practices are strictly forbidden.
(i) Spitting in or near the school building except where provision for this purpose.
(ii) Disfiguring or,otherwise damaging any school property.
(iii) Rowdy and rude behavior.
(iv) Use of violence in any form.
(v) Casteism and communalism.
Care must be taken of the school property and no student should scratch or damage school property or write or draw on the walls or cause damage in any way to an item belonging to the school. Any damage done will render the student liable for recovery of damages.
Every student should have his/her own text book,stationery and other material required for studies. Articles should not be exchanged nor money borrowed or lent.
In the absence of the teacher, students are required to observe silence and obey the monitor of the class.
Indisciplined behavior in the school bus will result in the students being debarred from using the same.
A students who uses unfair mean in the examination will render himself / herself liable to punishment as per the direction of the principal.
Any objectionable conduct outside the school will make the student liable for disciplinary action.
Students found possessing or, reading any book or magazine of an indecent nature are liable to disciplinary action.
Every student should take care of his/her personal belongings. School authority will not be responsible for loss of such belongings.
It is the duty of the students to keep their class room and other places in and around the school, clean and in order. Waste paper and other discardable material should be thrown in the dust bin.
No student is allowed to write on the black board unless asked to do so by the teacher.
Before leaving the classroom at the end of the day, they should arrange the desks and chairs in proper order, put off the lights and fans, shut the windows, throw the waste paper and unwanted materials into the dust bin and then leave for the day.
Violation of the rules and regulations of the school and code of conduct will render the concerned student liable to punishment including removal from the rolls of the school.
