The 2nd Seema Agarwal Interschool Kabaddi Tournament
Date: 9th- 10th October 2024
Venue: Little Angels School Grounds
Little Angels School proudly hosted the 2nd Interschool Seema Agarwal Kabaddi Tournament over two days at its grounds, featuring participation from nine schools across the city. Invitations were sent out, creating excitement among the participants and spectators.
The tournament commenced with an opening ceremony attended by Chief Guest Mr. Jaiveer Singh,District Sports Officer ,also by other esteemed guests, including School's Director Dr. Sanjeev Agarwal, Principal Mr. N.C. Pathak, Executive Director Mr. Ujjwal Agarwal, Vice Principal Mrs. Anju Saxena, Headmistress Mrs. Neena Mehrotra, and the Principals of the participating schools. District Chairman Sanjeev Pratap Singh graced the final match as the chief guest, adding to the significance of the event.
Dr. Sanjeev Agarwal officially declared the tournament open, marking the beginning of an exhilarating day filled with intense matches. The teams engaged in fierce competition, showcasing remarkable skills and sportsmanship. Little Angels School fought valiantly throughout the tournament, ultimately reaching the semi-finals and securing a spot in the finals.
The final match was a thrilling showdown between the host school, Little Angels, and Lions Bal Vidya Mandir. Both teams displayed exceptional strength and determination, delivering a tough fight. The competition was intense, with both sides showcasing their skills and teamwork. In the end, Little Angels emerged victorious, winning the match by a narrow margin.
The success of the tournament was largely attributed to the efficient organization by the school’s Physical Training Instructors (PTI), Mr. Pradeep Raghav and Mr. Ravi , who ensured smooth execution throughout the event. The other sports teachers of the school also played a significant role, contributing to make the event a grand success.
The victory marked the second consecutive time Little Angels School clinched the kabaddi tournament trophy, proudly retaining the running trophy once again. The entire school community, including participants, school administration, management, and teachers, celebrated this achievement with immense joy and pride.
This year’s tournament was not only a testament to the skills of the young athletes but also a wonderful event that fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among the schools. The management is grateful to all who contributed to the success of this event and looks forward to many more in the future!
